Therefore, optimizing the chemical composition of 6063 aluminum alloy is the most important step in the production of high-quality aluminum alloy building profiles. The effect of alloying elements and its influence on properties 6063 aluminum alloy is a heat-treatable strengthening alloy with medium strength in Al Mg SI system. Mg and Si are the main alloying elements. The main work of optimizing chemical composition is to determine the percentage content of Mg and Si.

What is 6063 aluminum plate?

1. 6063 is a representative alloy for extrusion, which has lower strength than 6061 and good extrudability. It can be used as profile material with complex cross-section shape, with good corrosion resistance and surface treatment.

2. It is a low alloyed Al Mg SI system high plasticity alloy. It has many valuable features:

① Heat treatment strengthening, high impact toughness, insensitive to lack.

② It has excellent thermoplasticity and can be extruded into various sections with complex structure, thin wall and hollow at high speed or forged into forgings with complex structure. The quenching temperature range is wide and the quenching sensitivity is low. After extrusion and forging demoulding, as long as the temperature is higher than the quenching temperature. That is to say, it can be quenched by spraying water or wearing water. Thin walled parts (6 < 3mm) can also be air quenched.

③ The welding performance and corrosion resistance are excellent, and there is no tendency of stress corrosion cracking. Al Mg Si alloy is the only one without stress corrosion cracking. 4. After processing, the surface is very smooth and easy to anodize and dye. Its disadvantage is that if it is aged after quenching at room temperature for a period of time, it will bring adverse effect on the strength (parking effect).
